Upright piano tuning
Whether your upright is used for daily practice or occasional playing, tell Eric what you hear and when it was last tuned. If you do not know the model, send a photo of the whole instrument and its brand or model label. Mention sticking keys, missing notes, or unusual sounds when requesting the visit.
Grand and baby grand piano tuning
Share your grand piano’s brand, approximate size if known, last tuning date, and how it is used. If you are preparing for a performance or recording, include that date in your inquiry so you can discuss timing and availability before booking.
What a tuning addresses
Tuning concerns the pitch of your piano’s strings. Keyboard feel, mechanical problems, and tone can involve different work. Describe those concerns separately so the appropriate service can be discussed; do not assume repairs are included in a tuning quote.
For tuning frequency and care advice, read the piano tuning guide. A piano that has been unused for years may need its condition assessed before the work and price can be confirmed.
Your visit, from inquiry to appointment
- Share the piano’s history. Send your city or ZIP code, upright or grand, brand, last tuning date, and any concerns. A photo is welcome.
- Agree on the complete quote. Confirm the service, price, travel costs, and expected appointment length with Eric. An inquiry does not reserve a visit.
- Prepare the space. Clear objects from the piano, provide access, and choose a reasonably quiet time. Share parking or access requirements when arranging the appointment.
- Keep your care record. Note the tuning date and any concerns discussed so the information is ready for your next visit.
